Wheelbuilding Courses now on Sale for Xmas!

If you know someone who loves learning about bikes they'll love our wheelbuilding courses! In the lead up to Xmas we've released ten discounted course vouchers as the perfect gift for any bike dork!

Building your own wheels is a beautiful process and over the duration of the course you will gain all the confidence behind the ‘dark art’ of wheel building. The type of wheels you want to build will be discussed beforehand and on the day you will have access to our tools, truing stand and expert knowledge, not to mention all the cups of coffee and tea you may require!

Courses can be booked for up to a maximum of 4 people and we’ve had groups such as cycling clubs, friends preparing for a bike packing trip and couples. If you work better outside of a group then you may prefer our 1-1 building course which is completely dedicated to you.

All course dates for 2026 are now live on our booking page: early booking is advised as these sell out quite quickly; go there to buy the gift vouchers too!

Each voucher gives the recipient first dibs on course dates already announced, future dates when they’re released, or access to a 1:1 weekday teaching session to suit their own timescale and needs.  You can read more about what the course entails HERE!

If you’re wondering then first quarter 2026 dates are:

  • Sat 10th and Sun 11th January 2 Spaces Left
  • Sat  7th and Sun 8th February
  • Sat  7th and Sun 8th March
  • Future Spring and Summer Dates TBA!
I’m already excited to meet each and every student that steps through the workshop door!

Finally 21st-22nd of March 2026 will see the first ever of our Queer Wheelbuilding weekenders! This will be open to anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and wants to have a go at learning how to build a wheel in a queer inclusive space.

Why a Queer’s only Weekender? Well, aside from being your classic queer anarcho polyamorous ADHD’er myself, even though bikes should be for everyone, there is still a major lack of diversity in cycling and we hear a lot of people say that they just don’t feel comfortable walking into a bike shop or workshop. So – aside from getting to hang out with you all! – it’s really important that we create those moments in time that our workshop is guaranteed to be  a safe space to come learn, hang out, and meet other queers on gears! All members of the community are welcome no matter your stripes. I’m SO grateful to all of my most common customers and I couldn’t’ do what I do without them, but this is a space just for us, and I look forward to running more of them in the future!

Over and out wheel nerds! Get your gift vouchers HERE, and look out for a full announcement and details of the Queer Weekenders shortly! Any Questions? GET IN TOUCH!
