Product details

I’m a believer that wheel building is something that anyone can learn.

Far from the ‘dark art’ that many would have you believe, creating your own handbuilt wheels is an accessible craft, albeit with technical subtleties and knowledge that isn’t always easily gained.

My ‘Wheelbuilding Weekender’ classes give you the tools, time and access to expert knowledge to build your own set of dream wheels or further explore your existing skillset, whatever your level.

They also make an excellent gift and you’ll receive a gift card in the post for the recipient if so.

Find out more about the course content and structure HERE.

The current course dates are as follows:

  • Sa 27th / Sunday 28th April SOLD OUT!
  • Sat 25th / Sunday 26th May SOLD OUT!
  • Sat 29th / Sunday 30th June SOLD OUT!
  • Sat 27th / Sunday 28th July SOLD OUT!

How Does It Work?

Choose your dates from below and add this course to your basket; I’ll be in touch to discuss the wheels you’d like to build.

You pay the £250 for the course at the point of booking, and I’ll contact you before the weekend to arrange payment for the components.

You’re welcome to supply your own existing hubs and rims but most students opt for brand-new components throughout; all of which I can supply.

Starting costs for a pair of sturdy yet basic touring/training/commuting wheels might be as low as £195 upwards, whereas those looking to build more performance-oriented gravel, road or MTB wheelsets should budget somewhere between £350-650+.

Boutique and carbon builds are by no means out of the question for even beginners as I’ll be on hand during all stages of the process which remain exceptionally similar for all, and those looking to craft something truly special should expect components prices from £900 or more upward.

If you’ve any more questions then you can contact me here.
