The most affordable wheels in the RBW range, they’re perfect for more modest budgets, less weight-conscious customers or simply those that don’t need a high-end, bells-and-whistles build all whilst still having options to upgrade and customise.
Hand built with great value rims from DT Swiss or Ryde to suit each wheelset, reliable and well-priced hubs from Bitex and Miche hubs and with the go-to Sapim Race double-butted spoke as standard.
Journey wheels ride beautifully and without the price tag of high-end hoops.
From The Ground Up
A whole load of time, experience and customer feedback has gone into creating these new wheels.
Miche’s Primato series hubs are great for rim brake use, whilst Bitex’s excellent 822 series centre lock hubs are a simple, affordable and solid choice for disk brakes.
For riders needing a burlier build, the premium Bitex MT Series 6-bolt hubs are the perfect upgrade for go-hard gravel or endurance riders.
The two new touring wheelsets feature beefed-up version of Bitex’s premium hubs which feature larger bearings and steel freehubs and axles to create a hub that just keeps going and going.
And for those that need anything but Shimano HG, all freehub upgrades are charged at trade-price to keep things low cost and hassle-free.
Semi Custom
Standard Journey options not quite right for you?
Semi-custom options allow customers to choose their rim to suit their needs, upgrade spokes, change spoke counts and more. Ride road but are a more Endurance rider and prefer fat tyres and a tougher rim for example? Then switch out to a wider and deeper rim option at no extra cost!
And there are options to customise your colours to create a truly unique one-off build, including 12 different nipple colours and 14 tubeless valve colours.
Just pick your options and your wheels will be hand built to order.
Ready To Roll
RyanBuildsWheels ‘Ready to Roll’ Wheelsets are made from a handpicked collection of my favourite hubs, rims, spokes, nipples and valves.
They’ve been carefully selected to offer the best build and ride quality possible for the given price. They’re built to balance strength, weight, longevity and value.
All Ready-to-Roll wheels are all hand built by RyanBuildsWheels, are semi-customisable and are made to order. They offer customers the quality of handbuilt wheels, without the added cost or decision-making of fully bespoke builds.
